Louis Vuitton transformed the runway into an oceanic scene this Paris Fashion Week, debuting their Spring/Summer 2027 Men’s Collection within rolling sand dunes and crashing waves. Designed by Pharrell Williams, the collection pays homage to the ocean’s enduring influence on fashion, culture, and human life, embracing maritime imagery and presenting a dandified take on the surfer’s dress code.

The collection presents a sophisticated nonchalance, coupling dandy silhouettes with sea-centric embellishments, hand-spun textures, and a bohemian spirit befitting surf culture. What results is an imaginative take on a classic dapper wardrobe, where spiritual freedom and authentic expression meet refined elegance and luxury fashion. Louis Vuitton’s tried-and-true visionary spirit is evident, giving traditional tailoring a fresh, fluid form that combines sharp suiting with relaxed, nomadic designs.
Highlighting sartorial similarities between the surfer and the dandy, the collection features performance-infused fabrics, weathered characteristics, and a general sleekness reminiscent of the surfer’s technical wetsuits. The accessories and apparel showcase shapes, textures, and colors reminiscent of coastal living, ranging from palm-tree-printed button-downs to coral-reef-like glass detailing to even Louis Vuitton-branded surfboards.

Fit with acid shades and harlequin patterns, the graphics nod to the perennial link between surfing and skateboarding — a formative and enduring influence for Pharrell — and to their shared emphasis on freedom, individuality, and radical expression. Accordingly, the show drew an arrayed attendance list of cultural figures, including Jeremy Allen White, Victor Wembanyama, Lil Baby, Tyriq Withers, Léon Marchand, and Charles Melton, with influences across artistic and athletic backgrounds.
On the runway, arriving in a splash of color and life, models walked to a musical backdrop of ocean waves and new productions recorded by Pharrell, marking the modern dandy as a force to be reckoned with.
