Businesswear takes an elevated approach in the release of Louis Vuitton’s formal spring/summer 2026 menswear collection, intended to continue the brand’s legacy of innovating traditional suiting techniques. Designed by Pharrell Williams, who’s served as the men’s creative director for Louis Vuitton since 2023, the new collection takes viewers through an array of styles—from timeless businesswear, modern tailoring, evening wear and formal footwear—with aspiration and achievement at the forefront of intent.
Defined by direction and intentionality, the timeless businesswear release illustrates the raw strength in power dressing. As seen through classic and sophisticated jackets, trousers, and light overcoats, the line uses brushed wool and wool-cashmere blends to allow for cultivated layering and seasonless silhouettes. Inspired by high derby style, Louis Vuitton’s adjacent Sorbonne line is offered in a rich brown suede, alongside its classic Major Loafer in glazed leather.
Similarly, modern tailoring disrupts traditional suiting methods by incorporating contemporary mix-and-match approaches—such as featuring the button-flap pocket workwear blouson, the hooded blouson, the high-collared tracksuit jacket, the half-zipped wool sweater, the knit blazer, and even a tailored notch lapel trucker, all with denim-style metal buttons—inspired to meet the mutual understanding of a constantly-evolving dress code.
The menswear evening dress wear is designed for those to step confidently into any black-tie function, demonstrating Louis Vuitton’s versatility and emphasis on personal originality. Pieces include collarless jackets, tailored trousers, strass-set buttons and LV-shaped cufflinks, as well as pearl detailing and monogram lettering throughout.
Beyond the release of new menswear attire itself, the updated formal collection also brings forth a series of ancillary refurbishments to its men’s treasury—including a reintroduction of Louis Vuitton’s iconic formal footwear line, as well as a total reimagination of the LV Aerogram leathergoods line. Representing both traditional and contemporary craftsmanship, the footwear line features new designs in derby, loafer and Chelsea boot styles—each with either a leather or rubber sole, and all featuring Monogram Eclipse canvas details on the outersole—reflecting the timeless appeal of British shoemaking and Louis Vuitton’s signature emblematic charm.
In addition, to compliment the entire collection, the permanent LV Aerogram line has been reconceptualized—now depicting sleek, softer lines and more understated signatures—a result of keeping modern practicality and everyday occupation in mind. Destined to be worn for the places where successful men go, the Louis Vuitton formal collection launches this August, emulating its own agenda by pursuing the cry for ultimate refinement, minus pretension.
