The Beverly Wilshire glittered like a glass slipper at midnight as the Los Angeles Ballet swept guests into its annual gala–this year, a Cinderella Fairytale Ball spun from tulle, crystal and orchestral charm. Beneath grand chandeliers and soft harp melodies, the evening shimmered with costumed characters and a spellbinding preview of Edwaard Liang’s Cinderella, performed by LAB dancers ahead of the full production’s June debut at the Dolby Theatre.
Hosted by Golden Globe-nominated actress Jennifer Grey and co-chaired by Sharon Davis, Erica Min, and Koni Rich, the Gala raised over $1.2 million in support of LAB’s artistic programming and mission-driven outreach, including Power of Performance and A Chance to Dance–initiatives that bring the magic of the ballet to underserved communities across Los Angeles. With appearances by Lesley Ann Warren, Joel Grey, Donna Mills, and more, the night proved that in the City of Angeles, dreams don’t just come true–they pirouette.
