The subtle chirp of birds outside the window is to spring as condensation on an orange popsicle is to summer; the swirl of cool cream into warm coffee is to fall as a frosted windshield in the morning is to winter. As the Earth tilts on its axis, the seasons take form and shape distinct characteristics while never failing to catch us by surprise. We experience unbidden physical and emotional changes over the course of twelve months that ultimately construct the human experience. This process is not only visualized, but celebrated in Loro Piana’s Spring/Summer 2026 Women’s Collection.

With the Palazzo Citterio, an 18th-century Italian palace-turned art museum, as their stage, the collection was unveiled in Italy during Milan Fashion Week. Known for their signature fluid and draped silhouettes, the Italian luxury fashion house expands upon them, offering modern reinterpretations that mimic our growth across the seasons and everchanging outlook on life. Led by a commitment to fabric and color, they combine textiles of cashmere, silk, and Merino wool with an Earth-toned color palette accented by brighter shades of red, yellow, marigold, and blues. The house’s classic sophistication was not lost on them, rather providing a seasonal take on ladylike.

Whether we want them to or not, the seasons change and so do we, and Loro Piana offers a dialogue between what is exiting and what is arriving.
