First introduced in 2005, the Spy Bag was never just an accessory. She was mythic—curving through paparazzi flashes, clutched in the crooks of elbows on red carpets and sidewalks alike. She became the kind of object that burned herself into memory: plush, potent, and purposefully oversized. Now, twenty years later, she resurfaces—reimagined and recoded, not with nostalgia, but with intention—as an It Girl in leather form.

For the House’s centennial and the Fall/Winter 2025–26 collection, FENDI reintroduces the Spy Bag as a statement piece built for presence. Designed once again by Silvia Venturini Fendi, the silhouette is unmistakable: soft, voluminous, tactile. But this is not a replica—it’s a new expression of an old icon. The signature twisted handles are reborn in supple leather. Hidden compartments still flirt with secrecy, but the overall effect is more assured, more exacting, more now.

Crafted in smooth calfskin, striped eel, embroidered astrakhan, and chevron mink, the Spy Bag returns in two sizes—Regular and Small—each with a distinct attitude and purpose. The color palette is rich but unexpected: chocolate and honey meet macaron pink, dusty mint, and sorbetto yellow. Shearling styles in tartufo and pale beige deliver subtle drama; milky whites that permeate.

The global campaign, shot by Stevie Dance and styled by Anna Trevelyan, stars Amelia Gray, Xiao Wen Ju, and Gabbriette. More than faces, they’re characters—each embodying a different type of want, a different kind of pursuit. Set in a not-so-far-off dreamworld where rarity breeds obsession, the story unfolds like a whispered rumor or a memory you’re not sure is yours.

This is not just the return of a cult bag—it’s a reclaiming of a moment, a refocusing of gaze. A reminder that icons don’t age—they evolve.

The new FENDI Spy Bag launches worldwide on July 17 in selected boutiques and on the Fendi website. Not just to be seen, but to be remembered.
