This season, FAT International held the FAT Ice Race for the first time in America. Hosted in Moonlight Basin in Big Sky, Montana, the event was more than just a race. It was a celebration of car culture, competition and entertainment all in the frosty Montana mountains. The weekend included several professional drivers like Lia Block, Sara Choi, and Christopher Polvoorde, blazing their driving skills on an icy track. Creatives with automotive interests, Jeff Zwart, Emelia Hartford, Don Toliver, and Lucy Block also joined the competition and fought for victory in a freezing, fierce race.

Along with the races and competitions, FAT brought out stunts and demonstrations for Big Sky locals and event guests. Red Bull parachuters hopped out of a helicopter and shot down the powder below. Nike ACG tested man’s ability against machine, with athlete Liam Meirow racing against an all-terrain vehicle in ACG’s prototype Ultrafly “spikes.” Porsche Cars North America showcased specially made sculptures for the occasion and FAT introduced its newest F4 car to be debuted later in the year at the British Formula 4.
FAT’s exhibition proved that driving is not all about speed. The event — which is rooted in European winter racing and alpine activities — has grown into a striking motorsport-based show blending car culture and entertainment worldwide.
