Vibrant and energizing, much like mid-summer’s scorching sun, indie rock quartet Common People’s sound has dug its hooks into Los Angeles, capturing the attention of GRAMMY® Award-winning Cage The Elephant co-founder Brad Shultz. A handful of the group’s earliest demos made their way to Shultz, resulting in a signing to Parallel Vision, a label co-founded by Shultz himself along with industry veterans Daniel Oakley and Darren Potuck, in partnership with Big Loud Rock.
Common People recently served up their introduction on a silver platter with their debut single “Thank You,” showcasing their authentic spirit and infectious energy that unapologetically captures an audience’s attention. The group’s knack for hummable hooks and natural chemistry with one another collides to create the perfect songwriting storm, leaving gritty guitar notes and nostalgic vocals in its wake.
In conjunction with a music video, “Thank You” was produced by Parallel Vision co-founder Brad Shultz, and emphasizes raw, hazy vocals and a timeless sound.
Running off the adrenaline-fueled release of the debut single, Common People will be hitting the road with Cage The Elephant this fall, opening for the alternative rock group on select dates of their North American tour. Chicago’s Salt Shed is next on the quintet’s destination list, where they will also be opening for Cage The Elephant at their 2025 Lollapalooza Official Aftershow on August 1.
