Photo Diary | Metal Mother

by Morgan Vickery

Though working under the pseudonym of Metal Mother, songwriter and vocalist Tara Timberman is a lot softer than you might think she is. Currently based in Los Angeles, Timberman is originally from Northern California.

Set on finding meaningful experiences that can bring her peace, the artist operates under the ideology of experiencing life in its fullest capacity. A self-proclaimed “acid-drenched techno pagan lovechild of Aphex Twin and Enya,” she shares her creative vision with others through soft, easeful tunes. Not quite as metal as her name might suggest. As Timberman was preparing to release a music video for “Pris”, the lead single from her last year’s album Pagan Jazz, she shared an exclusive photo diary of her daily life on the West Coast.
