In their newest music video for “2025” [Levitation Room](https://www.instagram.com/Levitation_Room/) lets us see the world in vibrations. And it’s definitely a trip. The video, directed by glitch artist Sztuka Naiwna, is a hallucination of bizarre cartoon clips and VHS stills, as Julian Porte’s placid voice echoes in green waves and teal grain. Each shot is like watching the world through the lens of a broken television. Static lines ripple and swirl over retro images, which is exactly what these Los Angeles psychedelic punks do best. “2025” weaves in retro surf riffs with modern lo-fi grit, making you wish you had this song last month, when you were still bolting to the beach.
About the single, the band explains, “"We often wonder what the future will be like in 5 years. Where will I be? Where will the world be? How will the advances of modern technology govern our future? 2025 is not that far from now. And with the way things are going in today’s political atmosphere, things seem a little dismal. There are far too many distractions at our disposal, while fat cats blow clouds of toxic waste into the air and figure out how to steep us further into the bowels of economic slavery. That’s what 2025 is about. It’s a warning..."
One thing is for sure - this song will definitely hold up in year 2025.
