Jordan Peele and Spike Lee Work Together on a New Thriller 'Black Klansman'
Jordan Peele's directorial debut in Get Out, soared passed the $200M mark at the worldwide box office this year and is ready for more in a new thriller, Black Klansman, with the renowned Spike Lee. Lee is legendary in the film world for his vision, direction, and ability to add social commentary and relatable content for the culture. It'll be truly groundbreaking to see the two collaborate in the Black Klansman.
The film is based on a 1970s true story of Black Colorado detective Ron Stallworth, who found his way to becoming a leader in his local KKK chapter by pretending to be white supremacist while keeping all forms of communication with the Klan through phone or written routes. And, when the time came for his in-person presence, Stallworth recruited a fellow white detective to assist him. Stallworth managed to disrupt and dismantle cross burnings and other hateful KKK activities.
John David Washington, Denzel Washington's son and co-star of HBO's "Ballers," is rumored to be in negotiation with makers of the film to star as Detective Stallworth.
Keep your eyes peeled for more updates on the Black Klansman.
