Indie-Rock artist Anna Rose’s highly anticipated third album isn’t out until later this year, but she’s already blessed us with a few tracks—including a music video from the second single off of her new album “Sucker Puncher.”

The New York native is known for her distinct dirty blues and hard-driving rock. She’s channeled some of the greats of our time including Joni Mitchell and Patty Griffin. Rose’s highly praised EP, Strays In The Cut, was released in 2016, and her previous singles, “Nobody Knows I’m Here,” “The Chariot,” and “Sucker Puncher,” were all released earlier this year; with the former being featured on NBC’s hit show, ‘This Is Us.’

With this third album, Rose found herself in Nashville most of the time and decided that it was time to piece the album together. “That city slowly began to really feel like home,” Rose says. “Working there, making art there…really helped me heal a lot of wounds that I had collected along the way in my life.”

She goes on to say, “I’m eternally grateful to the city of Nashville for opening up their arms to me. As a bit of an outsider, it gave me a place where I felt like I belonged for the first time really…ever.”

“Sucker Puncher,” produced by Paul Moak, is the second single off of her forthcoming album and it just got a brand new music video. Filmed in Desert Hot Springs, California, this video was directed by filmmaker Émilie Richard-Froozan— who’s also Rose’s friend.

Richard-Froozan has also directed numerous music videos including Suki Waterhouse's "Valentine" and Hurray For The Riff Raff's "I Know It's Wrong (But That's Alright).” Backed by Rose’s breathtaking vocals, the music video stars a lone motorcyclist in the middle of the desert and has an interesting and fun twist to it.
