Yet, discrimination in talent recruitment is often reported in big corporations around the world and the U.S is no exception. Some consider one of the most common among them to be discrimination based on skin color. When repeated protests and social awareness could not resolve this age-old issue, [Rhett Lindsey](https://www.instagram.com/rhett_lindsey/) came up with an innovative solution through technology. He founded the [Siimee](http://www.siimee.com) App to help companies avoid biased hiring.  Rhett Lindsey is a black tech founder working to combat biased hiring procedures in top corporations across the U.S. With a bachelor’s degree in Social Work from the University of Kentucky, Lindsey has always been sensitive towards social issues. Before being a tech founder and an entrepreneur Lindsey has worked as a talent recruiter for various organizations in the United States. During this time he even established and led the first Black History Month series for a well-known social networking company he was working for. This initiative was supported by many social impact organizations in Los Angeles and surrounding areas.  Throughout his career as a talent recruiter, Rhett Lindsey has always focused on unbiased hiring to ensure the company gets the most talented people to work there. With all the efforts he was making to eliminate racial discrimination in the hiring process, he also had to face several challenges. He had a hard time dealing with unfair technologies like Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) that companies rely on for hiring candidates.  Troubled and upset by what he believed was “the injustice that was prevalent in the talent hiring process of renowned corporations”, Rhett Lindsey quit the recruiting industry in December 2020. His decision was not a sign of defeat but a path to achieve an even greater motive. While working as a talent recruiter Lindsey estimated that more than 90% of companies use ATS that doesn't ensure unbiased hiring. To change the whole system he cannot limit his contributions to one company. He needed to revolutionize the whole system from the ground up to eliminate biased hiring.  Lindsey founded Siimee, an organization committed to reforming the hiring process in U.S. corporations. He created Siimee App to replace Applicant Tracking Systems in these companies. The organization is increasing awareness of the inherent problem of biased recruiting and hiring by developing training programs and creating unbiased hiring tools.  Siimee is committed to eliminating unfair hiring in corporations. It is an emerging platform dedicated to providing an equitable and purposeful connection to job seekers and employers. Lindsey as the CEO of Siimee is guiding this mission-driven organization to end limitations and open new possibilities for all people no matter their origin and hiring leaders.  Rhett Lindsey’s heartfelt initiative to change the corporate hiring landscape has grabbed media attention. His inspiring story to revolutionize the recruiting process has been nationally featured in media outlets including The Washington Post, CNBC, and CBS News. This further enhanced his exposure to society taking his initiative to new heights.  Through Siimee, Rhett Lindsey is taking the values of equity, compassion, community, and integrityamd he hopes his efforts will soon transform the way employers connect with job seekers making the hiring process unbiased and fair.
