Today, the Prince Estate has released _Piano & A Microphone_, a posthumous album comprised of songs recorded by Prince in 1983. This album will take you back in time — to the days of MTV and VCR’s — when Prince was one of music’s biggest stars and he recorded these songs on cassette in his Minnesota home studio. The album is made of nine intimate tracks and is thirty-five minutes long.
_Piano & A Microphone_ includes a recording of “Mary Don’t You Weep,” a new video for which was released just yesterday. The video, directed by Salomon Ligthelm through Stink Films takes an emotional look at a mourning community that represents the thousands of families effected by gun violence in America. As shown in the video, each year in the the US, 1,300 children die because of gun violence, and 5,790 are treated for gunshot wounds.
