We should strive to be our true selves especially in these hard times. Some things about you will be similar to others and some will be different. It’s the combination of everything that makes you unique. Let go of what’s out of your control. Learn the lesson, forgive the past and move on. Be you for you.  **What has it been like working with producer PRGRSHN?** Amazing! He’s a very talented producer, knows a lot about music and the business. You feel like you’re learning so much when talking to him. As a singer, finding that one producer that can work with your sound and understands you is really key. I knew about him through WSTRN so he's perfect for my kind of music. When we first met, it was an instant connection. We started working together in 2019 and have been making music together ever since. **How did the music video come about?** The video for “Be True” is inspired by early 90’s R&B videos from the likes of Aaliyah, TLC and Janet Jackson. I really like the clothes, dancing and overall vibe of the 90‘s videos and wanted to bring it back. **What do you want viewers to take away from watching it?** My goal for the music video was to deliver great quality, the 90’s vibe, and spread the positive message of the song. I hope people watching it get the message of encouragement and positive vibes. **Is the single ‘Be True’ referring to personal experiences?**  It’s not really referring to a personal experience. I had an overall thought and theme in mind while creating that song. We all get lost once in a while, sometimes by choice, sometimes due to forces beyond our control. When we learn what it is our soul needs to learn, the path presents itself. **What inspired you to write this single?**  “Be True” was inspired by the concept of being true to oneself. I wanted to do a song that’s inspiring, positive, and many people could relate to. **How have people’s opinions impacted your life or music personally?** I’m lucky I have people like my family and close friends around me who always “keep it real“ with me, good or bad. I never really let strangers' opinions impact my life or music. We allow other people's opinions to not only hurt us but oftentimes, to define us. With the years, I learned opinions have no basis in defining what you're all about. When you immerse yourself in activities, passions, and pursuits that bring you joy and find satisfaction in the way you go about your day, people and their approval suddenly become a feature of your life rather than the point.  **How do you feel about the 90's vibe you’ve chosen to capture in the music video?** I love it! I was born in the 90‘s and to me, it’s one of the best and most exciting decades ever. **How was it to work with Jay Money for the music video?**  It was great! He’s a very talented, organized videographer and brings your vision into reality. I love how dedicated he is, to bring the best out of his work. **What are your future plans for the rest of 2021?**  I’m working on new music and hope to bring out my EP soon.
