This anthem is an unapologetic callout to the men who have let her down in the past, and the visual encompasses those emotions perfectly. The alt-pop singer-songwriter takes a bold step outside of the comfort zone of traditional pop with her latest single, “Everyone Is Disappointing,” with the video premiering exclusively today on _Flaunt_. Produced by Troy Samuela , “Everyone Is Disappointing” is dotted with cheeky asides, and turns the heartbreak narrative on its head for an irresistibly catchy self-empowerment track about that would be hard to resist for a full-body dance sesh alone at home or dare we say, a dancefloor.  The video, much like Hicks herself, is spunky and out-of-the-box. Creativity shines through as she goes back and forth with a collection of men whose efforts to impress her fall short. Hicks most impressionable moment occurs midway through the video when she pauses the instrumentals to tell her suitors that they just “really f\*cking suck” and gives the camera a sly middle finger.  Hicks tells _Flaunt_, “This song is a total eye-roll at that random “what’s up” text from the guy who ghosted you a month ago. Need I say more?”  Following an impressive 2020 with the release of back-to-back EPs _IDIOT GRL_ and _Kiss Me, Kill Me_, Hicks continues to showcase her relatable lyricism and genre-bending talents. With over five million combined streams and climbing across platforms, Hicks has quickly established herself as an artist to watch in 2021. Making an impressive debut last year with her single “Nothin’ but a Monster”, Ari Hicks quickly established herself as a rising star in the making. Although often attributed to pop, Ari Hicks has found her niche experimenting with alternative R&B riffs that speak to her musical mystique.
