Back in February, Phoebe Bridgers tweeted, "petition to make Conor to do shallow with me on tour." The Conor in question is of course, Oberst; the tour at hand, the duo's run as [Better Oblivion Community Center](https://www.instagram.com/_fake_nudes_/?hl=en). The day after their sold-out show at [Brooklyn Steel](https://www.bowerypresents.com/venues/brooklyn-steel), she followed up that petition's success by captioning a video of their rendition, "Conor begged me and I finally caved." Might I just say thank you, Phoebe, from all of us.  Made even better by the addition of Yeah Yeah Yeahs guitarist Nick Zinner, the _A Star Is Born Moment_ was a true treat in an 18-song set chock full of them, including reimagined covers of "Can't Hardly Wait" by The Replacements, Bridgers' own "Would You Rather" and "Funeral," and Bright Eyes classic "Easy/Lucky/Free."  The duo's charming, playful chemistry and insane combined talent made it easy to forget that Oberst has dozens of records under his belt and the 24-year-old Bridgers not only gifted the world with a stunning debut in 2017's _Stranger in the Alps_ but is also hot off the heels of boygenius, her supergroup with Lucy Dacus and Julien Baker.
