An escape to the French countryside doesn't have to take you all the way to France— it can be found in the Westside of Los Angeles. At The Peninsula Beverly Hills, the French Renaissance is not only alive, it’s blossoming as the summer season rolls in.
From Hong Kong to Paris, The Peninsula Hotels brand is renowned for its luxurious guest experience and prestige locations. Enjoying a cameo in season three of HBO's Euphoria, The Peninsula Beverly Hills has cemented itself beyond hospitality as a pillar of pop culture and mystique. In 1991, the hotel opened its doors as an exclusive escape from the noise of Los Angeles. Thirty five years later, it has seen a beautiful renovation. Through a collaboration with premier global interior design firm Hirsch Bedner Associates, the renovation has managed to keep the classic charm the hotel is known for while introducing modern hospitality, solidifying it as the perfect summer escape.

Adopting an inviting palette of powdery pinks, calm blues, and dashes of fresh green, the 195 guest rooms, including 38 suites and 18 private villas, are more inviting than ever. The lavish upholstery and open floor plans highlight the natural light that floods through the windows of every room, demonstrating the hotel's artful combination of craftsmanship and contemporary comfort.
The global influences flow throughout the hotel, imbuing themselves in every aspect of guest experience. The Belvedere, which fittingly translates to “Beautiful view”, offers guests an exclusive, European Brasserie inspired menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The Living Room hosts an extensive afternoon tea service to enjoy between trips to the pool and or spa. These spaces, which have all been unikquely reinvigorated, allow guests to enjoy time away from the city while still enjoying the culture that it has to offer.

Possibly its most famous feature, the hotel's Rooftop Garden, featuring its pristine blue pool and skyline view, got a technological upgrade as well. Each of the ten yellow and white striped cabanas has been outfitted with a 50” high-definition television, Bluetooth sound system, and a personalized dining experience to elevate guest’s poolside experience. Here, guests can lounge knowing they are guaranteed a private, comfortable hotel experience customized to their interests and needs.

To hone in on the romantic atmosphere that The Peninsula offers, each room was accented with porcelain vases, gilded mirror, and soft sconces to highlight the femininity and youthful charm of the era. Retaining the original beauty that the hotel became known for was integral during the project, original pieces like Rose Marble vanities and legacy patterns in the drapery were kept to pay homage to its history.
Even with these changes, The Peninsula is still The Peninsula: classic, graceful, and unequivocally LA.
