Once upon a time, a young girl named Dua Lipa was listening to David Bowie and Radiohead with her father in their London residence, gearing up to audition for the school choir. Today, that girl wraps up four consecutive sold-out nights at the Kia Forum.

A feat that few artists of any caliber can claim, Dua Lipa comes to Los Angeles in the midst of her Radical Optimism tour following the release of her junior album in May of 2024. In delivering a dynamic show, her long weekend at the Forum included an immersive set design complete with an array of lasers and confetti, outfit changes that stunned one after another, crowd work that formed a personal connection with the audience, a moment of unaccompanied harmonization between Lipa and her background vocalists, and unmatched energy from a group of dancers performing alongside her.

Her shows promise a glittering party while never subduing the vocal talent that brought her to this point in the first place—only emphasizing her identity as a performer even further. Though her commanding stay in Los Angeles is coming to an end, we mustn’t say “goodbye”—Dua Lipa is just getting started.
