Couture was founded on the idea of exclusivity, the highest of high fashion—a premier club to which only those deemed societally worthy receive entry. The majority of fashion enthusiasts stand outside the club’s doors, hoping to catch a glimpse of what’s going on within, yet delighted to even be near it. Chloé was established with this history in mind, and since the 1950s, the luxury fashion house has stood tall in opposition. Its Summer 2026 Collection, titled “Entre Deux,” redefines what this could look like, inching closer to couture techniques while remaining rooted in the cause upon which the brand was founded.
Through the use of striking drapery, distinct silhouettes, and revived floral patterns, the collection questions which internal boundaries, if any, are meant to be broken, and considers the relationship between the opulent and the everyday. “Entre Deux,” meaning “between two,” could not make the mission of Creative Director Chemena Kamali more clear, proving to be both an intentional and thoughtful step into a potential new era.
The collection was unveiled at UNESCO in Paris during Paris Fashion Week, a totem of the brand’s commitment to inclusivity, creativity, and candor. In a world where fashion is for anyone, Chloé is unraveling what it means to be “couture” and breaking locks to let everyone in.
