Cartoon prints have become best of friends in [Marni’s](https://www.marni.com) new 2019 Fall/Winter menswear collection. Marni collaborated with Bruno Bozzetoo, an eclectic and influential Italian cartoonist who has made more than 300 films. With 130 acknowledgements to his name, including an Oscar nomination for _Grasshoppers_, it is clear that the talent running through every meticulous seam and print in this collection is undeniable.
Drawing inspiration from his past cinematography, Bozzetoo’s animated art elevates and explores the imaginary universe that the collection was framed around. The psychedelic patterns and large print designs that showcase snakes, dinosaurs and young fauns come to life on each and every individual ready-to-wear garment. Lighthearted designs animate cotton t-shirts, fluid shirts, silk pyjamas and reversible parkas.
The colorful vision which blurs the boundary between imagination and reality is further showcased on a line of monochrome PVC tote bags with contrasting leather handles. Each bag with its own enlarged anthropomorphic creature emphasis Bozzetoo’s irony while invoking mesmerising fantasy.
