Dior Art Director Maria Grazia Chiuri has further established the inspiration that dance brings to her work as her latest designs blend together the art forms of high fashion and ballet in _Nuit Blanche,_ the first of three performances devoted to composer Philip Glass. Dance has been steadily engrained into Dior’s culture. Following Christian Dior’s passion for the art form, Chiuri drew inspiration from the world of dance in her [Spring/Summer 2019 show](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NLOYGm_I_KE), and has delved further into her exploration with this project set to run at the Teatro dell'Opera di Roma from March 29 to April 2, 2019. Chiuri collaborated on the costume designs with Eleonora Abbagnato, director of ballet at the Teatro dell'Opera di Roma, who will also be performing _Nuit Blanche_. Choreographed by Sébastien Bertaud, the ballet offers an avant-garde experience where fashion meets dance as ballerinas perform in delicate fabrics, merging the stage and the runway into one. * * * Photos courtesy of Dior
