Over the weekend Barneys New York debut the LA edition of The Drop, a 2 day pop up that saw nearly 12,000 patrons come through the 6 levels of the Beverly Hills flagship. By 6:30 pm on Saturday the crowd of very well-heeled Hypebeasts clog the 2nd level, across the way from the Gucci roller rink as Wu Tang Clan came out to perform a surprise set. HypeBaes got to meet and greet Justine Skye, who collaborated on a shoe capsule with Barney’s. DJ sets from Heron Preston kept the crowd well synced to shop through a maze of curated streetwear that ran the gambit from Fendi to Fear of God and Rick Owens to Rhude. Prada created a neon-lit Pachinko pinball arcade while a butterfly garden kept things zen set alongside an array of fine jewelry. The matcha from Alfred's teahouse kept things beyond lit this weekend.
