Barbara Feinman Gallery in Los Angeles Hosts Into Raptures all March
When we think about myths we often think of a fantastic old story that has been woven intricately to form a tapestry of events often born from history. They are retold and are passed down from one generation to the next. We associate myths with tales of fantastic proportions often exaggerated or expanded to rouse excitement or even fear. A myth is much more than an extravagant story. They are a telling narrative often written or painted with the exaggerated truth. A myth is story.
Myth and storytelling in mind, we welcome you to the Barbara Feinman Gallery for their Los Angeles group exhibition titled, Into Raptures.
Into Raptures is a traditional form of mythology where artists such as Faye Wei Wei, Kale Kean Mayman, Jane Moseley, Jonathan Small, Luke Todd, and Bobby Viteri tell their stories through a series of imageries. Imagery that toes the boundaries of truth in everyday life. It is an exploration of personal stories and their ability to blur reality and are interpreted through the individual’s experience. The Barbara Feinman Gallery will host an opening reception on Friday, March 9, from 6 P.M.- 9 P.M. and the exhibition will remain open until the end of March. If you’re interested in seeing the mythic event, you can email the gallery for a reservation at Info@barbara-feinman.com.
