Miu Miu has launched “UpCycled by Miu Miu,” a line of sustainable vintage pieces. The collection features 80 various designs based on antique garments from the 30’s-70’s eras found in vintage clothing stores. These pieces were repurposed with traditional hand-sewn Miu Miu embroideries. The collection represents the revitalization of dresses worn by women in the past to pass on to women in the future.
Actors Elisa Visari and Chen Ran debuted dresses from the collection at the Green Carpet Fashion Awards. Visari wore an orange cocktail dress from the collection, sourced from the 1960’s and embellished with glass pearls and ivory puff sleeveless. Chen Ran showcased a 30’s burgundy evening gown, customized with crystal embroidery.
The collection will be exclusively available at Miu Miu 57th Street during the holiday season this year.
