

After a three-year absence Danish electronic producer and composer Trentemøller returns with a mesmerizing new single, “Sleeper”.
Since the release of his last album, the Copenhagen-based multi-instrumentalist has been keeping busy on a variety of other projects. Just last year, he released a DJ-mix album, _Harbour Boat Trips Vol. 02 Copenhagen_. More recently, with the help of collaborator Lisbet Fritze, he recorded a track for the short film [“Nightsong”](https://staerkandchristensen.com/blogs/projects/somewhere-in-the-nowhere), directed by Helena Christensen and featuring Sean Penn.

The new track is a quiet, muted dreamscape, imbued with all of the hazy melancholy that permeates so much of Trentemøller’s work to date. The atmosphere created is hypnotic, gradually building before fading into nothing more than a faint murmur.
