Musicians Auction Off Setlist For Young Voices

Beginning tonight at 7 pm PST, setlists from celebrated musicians of various genres and eras will go to auction online, benefitting international youth writing and activism centers and organizations on behalf of Setlists for Young Voices. Setlists for Young Voices is an initiative launched by novelists [Nick Hornby](https://www.nickhornbyofficial.com/), founder of London-based youth writing center [Ministry of Stories,](https://www.ministryofstories.org/) [Dave Eggers](https://daveeggers.net/dave-eggers) of San Francisco youth writing center [826 Valencia](https://826valencia.org/), and screenwriter [Michael Chabon.](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michael_Chabon) The auction’s proceeds will go to Ministry of Stories and [The International Congress of Youth Voices](https://www.internationalcongressofyouthvoices.com/), which will bring international teen writers and activists together in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Additional participants include My Morning Jacket, Death Cab for Cutie, Steely Dan, Dixie Chicks, Toro Y Moi, The Pretenders, Sigur Ros, and The Who, heavyweights who are highlighting and taking this matter to heart. “We’re hoping to raise about $50,000,” says Eggers. “That will have a powerful impact on more than 150 student writers at the Ministry of Stories and writing centers worldwide.” The Setlists for Young Voices auction runs until May 2nd.
