Globally renowned for his self-styled Afro-Tech sound, as well as releases on the likes of Cadenza Records and Knee Deep In Sound, South African superstar DJ [Shimza](https://www.facebook.com/shimza.dj) decided to launch his own imprint in November 2020, with a clear mission of connecting his country’s talent with international artists, peers and audiences. Championing producers from all across the country, KUNYE (which means together in Xhosa/Zulu) began hosting weekly livestream sessions in July 2021, creating a new movement by uniting people around the world through the love of music, while amplifying the sounds of South Africa to a global audience.
Marking the label’s highest profile release to-date, Shimza returns to his imprint with a lockdown-inspired single titled “Fight To Love,” featuring the stunning vocals of Maleh. Seeing loved ones separated, longing to be reunited, Maleh wrote the powerful lyrics during the height of the pandemic, delivering a message of hope that difficult times will pass.
