With the lockdown measures across the globe came the absence of live shows and interaction with the audience. For [Joris Delacroix](https://www.instagram.com/joris_delacroix/), it wasn’t different, and the eclectic producer has teamed up with his friend [CEBB](https://www.instagram.com/cebb_music/) to produce a track with less focus on the dance floor, but still appealing to his loyal crowd.
In his own words: “When we started composing ‘Need Your Attention’, it was a very special moment. We’re in a big old mansion at a winery in the south of France, feeling both happy to be there, making music with friends, and also sad because of the Covid situation. These mixed emotions define the mood of the track.”
He adds, “CEEB and I come from house and techno music backgrounds, but this track was not made for dance floors. We thought there was no use to make another ‘DJ track’ as there were actually no gigs to play it. We tried to make music differently to still get people’s attention, because in the end, as artists, this is something we need.”
Today, the French producer shares his latest offering exclusively via _Flaunt_, “Need Your Attention” takes the rolling basslines synonymous with Joris Delacoix’s style and draws in some distorted reverberation, a smattering of rasping vocals and an undivided emotion for the art.
The single will be released tomorrow, the 18th of June via SmallFishBigSea, and will be accompanied by a live video, shot in the historic Montpellier Opera. Pre-save “Need Your Attention” [here](https://backl.ink/needyourattention).
