Burberry's London in Los Angeles comes to Griffith Observatory
All varieties of notable expats and transplants were out and about last night for the iconic British brand Burberry's "London in Los Angeles" runway event at that most stately of structures, the Griffith Observatory. From this lofty vista built for checking out the stars, and appropriated for a night of—sorry—checking out the stars, we enjoyed a garden party with a heavy dose of Union Jacks, and the presence of the First Battalion Grenadier Guards. The bucket hats and trench coats had the transcontinental crowd waxing poetic about old Blighty which got us thinking: if so much of our cultural fodder is coming from Albion, can they bring some rain too?
