The golden curl Saudi queen, Tamtam who is known for challenging the society and rights of her native decent is coming out with a new video called ‘Rise’, directed by Meshal Al jaser, that reflects on the liberation of Saudi women and an observation of their rights in society, while playing with traditional imagery of songs and engagement. Her main costar is a mannequin who play her suitor and eventually is set ablaze as a means of symbolically burning the patriarchy. A powerful statement.
Tamtam has made it very clear that her mission is to empower women through her music whilst we are mesmerized by her amazing vocal range and dreamy voice. One of the main topics in her new song is about arranged marriage.
The recent allowance of women being able to legally drive which is a big milestone for women and a step further to equal rights and was the topic of her last single “[Drive](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vwc9u4CusOA)“
