With success writing for Beyoncé, Kanye West, Demi Lovato, and Ariana Grande, three years ago, songstress [KIRBY](https://www.instagram.com/singkirbysing/), made her solo artist debut with "Loved By You." Today, the Memphis-born, Mississippi-raised talent is turning heads with "We Don't Funk," the third single released from her forthcoming EP 'SIS' due in February.
"As a level one twerker, I needed a record that required very little expertise for me to dance to. I also needed an excuse to tell myself, 'Your booty couldn't look better if you bought it.'" - explains KIRBY of her new single. "We don't funk till after dark," KIRBY sings in a lofty falsetto. Her soulful nature oozes through each note and echoes in a shimmering vibrato.
