Getting sick of your Covid-19 playlist? Give it a lifeline by adding New York indie rockers [Been Stellar](https://www.instagram.com/beenstellar/)’s new single “Fear of Heights.” The music video, directed by [Trevor Scholl](https://www.instagram.com/trevor__scholl/), features lead singer Sam Slocum stumbling through East Village with a broken umbrella and bruised angel wings. In a humid fever dream, he staggers between masked friends and strangers. The song itself is propelled by dazed yearning, with a grainy guitar riff that throbs like homesickness or a hangover.
About the song, band member [Skyler Knapp](https://www.instagram.com/skystmarx/?hl=en) explains, “The song is inspired largely by religion. Specifically, the fear of choosing the wrong religion/choosing a religion at all. We live in a world where we are free to make whatever choices we want, and that’s what terrifies us.”
“Fear of Heights” is the first single off of their upcoming album _Alma Mater_. Check out the music video below!
