Raised an only child to a single mother, the singer-songwriter arrived with new age philosophy and esoteric beliefs. With the sudden passing of her mom, she was suddenly faced with a personal health scare in which she woke up unable to speak or sing. A medical mystery that dragged on for months, she was diagnosed with vocal cord paresis, with no specific treatment for the condition. Thankfully, music would be her saving grace. Today, she returns to release the official music video for “Tricks,” premiered today exclusively on Flaunt. The song highlights a toxic situation that unraveled over a long period of time, eventually destroying her closest friendship.   She states, “I started with the bass line and it immediately triggered so much rage in me that it only took about an hour from start to finish.
