In the midst of fashion’s most important week of the year, a group of Hollywood’s most lauded celebrities gathered with the Kering Foundation for their fifth annual Caring for Women dinner. Every year, the Kering Foundation hosts the Caring for Women dinner to fundraise for organizations that specialize in ending gender-based violence. “As we mark its fifth edition, the dinner stands as a powerful reminder of what this community can achieve when it comes together with purpose,” says Kering Foundation Chairman Francois-Henri Pinault. 

Spearheaded by Francois-Henri Pinault and founding co-host Salma Hayek Pinault, other hosts included Pamela Anderson, Dakota Johnson, Benicio Del Toro, Simone Biles, Lorna Simpson, and Nacho Figueras. Gucci, Balenciaga, Bottega Veneta, Pomellato, and various other venerable brands contributed to the Kering Foundation’s annual live auction, which is also now accessible to the public from now through September 14th (see here). The dinner was also accompanied by an electric performance by Rita Ora, and certain guests even got to revel in an afterparty DJed by Paris Hilton. 

The Kering Foundation raised over five million dollars and donated proceeds to Fondo Semillas, Activating Change, The New York Women’s Foundation, and JBWS,– four pivotal philanthropic organizations that specialize in ending gender-based violence and violence against children. “Salma and I created the Caring for Women Dinner to raise essential funds for organizations working to end gender-based violence and to mobilize a broader community around this critical mission at the heart of the Kering Foundation’s work,” says Francois-Henri Pinault. “The extraordinary generosity of this community has helped transform that conviction into action, bringing us closer to a future where every woman and child can live free from violence.”
