Even with modern technology, years of preparation and hundreds of NASA employees, it still takes over 130 days for a space shuttle to reach Mars. But what if we told you that we know someone who can get you there in 2 hours… as long as you’re leaving from LA.

Created by Ben Uyeda and designed in collaboration with Emi Kitawaki and Jen Whitaker of Gry Space, the Reset Hotel is a luxury oasis in Joshua Tree. Whether you’re in search of an earthly Arrakeen Palace after a Dune rewatch or craving a tranquil high desert escape, this boutique hotel is the place.

With 65 modern, free-standing rooms stocked with glamping essentials and garnished with private star-gazing patios and views of the rugged mountains, Reset adopts a contemporary take on what a luxurious night in the desert (or on Mars) should look like. A sound bath experience, an outdoor stone tub and poolside cocktails are only a few amenities guests can take advantage of during a stay.

Sitting on 180 acres only minutes away from the park’s north entrance, guests have unprecedented access to Joshua Tree’s natural beauty. The six mountain ranges towering over Joshua Tree carry with them a unique energy and history, as the area has been inhabited for at least 10,000 years. Uyeda’s vision honors the land, placing it at the heart of his desert oasis. Each moonlit room encourages intimate connection with the landscape. According to Uyeda, his favorite view–anywhere in the valley–is up.

Reset Hotel is located in Twentynine Palms, California. Reserve your stay now to find peace and enjoy some complimentary s’mores.
