Whether she’s your go-to karaoke song or reserved pregame playlist, there’s almost no question about the apex of pop music that is Kesha FKA Ke$ha. Since her debut in 2005 cemented her immortal cultural influence, the LA-born, Nashville native is renowned for her infectious discography and her vivacious spirit. She’s remembered from the 2000s for her classic fishnet tights, hair feathers, blue lipstick, and the word “PARTY” scribbled across her arm. In he early years, Kesha received several number-one U.S. hits, including her most iconic song, “TikTok” in 2010, “We R Who We R” and “Timber” in 2013, where she was a featured artist for Pitbull. Her debut album Animal in 2010 was a number one and 4x platinum hit. Her musical legacy is nothing short of monumental. But after breaking away from her exclusive recording agreement in 2023, Kesha has entered a new era of rebirth in her truest form.

In revelry of this new chapter, as well as the 2025 release of her sixth studio album “.” (stylized as a period), Kesha announces and embarks on “The Freedom Tour,” expanding over North America and select cities in Ireland and the UK. Arriving at the Kia Forum this past week, Kesha turned the concert into a 2016 club dance floor, gracing fans with some of her most iconic tracks, “Die Young” and “Your Love is My Drug.” The night was opened with electro-funk pair Chromeo and the self-proclaimed “feminine and vicious” Sizzy Rocket. The show was split into three segments, with Kesha performing both acoustically and in her usual chaotic energy.

She was accompanied, of course, by a team of hypnotic dancers and a dazzling avant-garde wardrobe. With songs performed from her recent album, including “YIPPEE-KI-YAY” and “JOYRIDE.”, Kesha’s “Freedom Tour” is an ode to her musical journey, honoring the different chapters throughout her career. Still, the synth-pop queen remains tried and true, and as she continues her tour through the summer, her fans will crave the relics of her past while admiring the artist she is still becoming.
