There are not many things as reliable as a high quality pair of jeans. They weather every stage of life, maintaining their status an essential wardrobe item as one grows from adolescence to adulthood. Though often considered complementary to other pieces, denim jeans are traditionally at the heart of every outfit, playing a key role in everyday memories.
This Is Your Life in D, Diesel’s Fall/Winter 2025 denim campaign, takes this role seriously. In the latest collaboration between creative director Glenn Martens and art director Christopher Simmonds, Diesel celebrates their history in denim mastery through an escapade steeped in humor and irony. The Italian brand ushers the viewer through every stage of existence, chronicling the story of a single life lived in Diesel denim.
Photographer Éamonn Zeel Freel captures the campaign from a fixed point of view, immersing the viewer in every stage of the journey. The campaign begins with an infant clad in drawstring jeans as his loved ones—all sporting the Fluid Denim collection—gaze down at him. At the very end, the now-adult viewer transcends to the afterlife, to be among Double D bags and angels adorned in light wash denim. Between these two instances, viewers get to experience college, a beach party, a motorcycle accident and their own funeral, each setting showcasing elements of the collection.
Diesel’s This is Your Life in D breaks out of the conventional campaign formula, reflective of the brand’s own emphasis on self-expression and freedom. Regardless of where the viewer is in their own journey, the ‘This Is Your Life in D’ campaign is sure to captivate.
