Last night, the Legends Private Terminal within the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos, Nigeria, hosted one of the most desired events of the year. In honor of his upcoming fourth studio album, M$NEY, Asake hosted an exclusive release party with roughly 200 artists and cultural innovators for an immersive and intimate listening experience.

The atmosphere was opulent, with guests garbed in earth tones and accessories in Asake’s creative vision of a sand-and-stone sanctuary. Emblems of prosperity, wealth, spirituality, and tranquility resonated throughout the night, as well as the entry walkway tunnel, embellished with visual elements of the new album. The ambiance was alluring and magnetic, reflecting Asake’s limitless visionary mind.
Guest appearances by Ayra Starr, Olamide, Young Jonn, BNXN, and L.A.X were among the many guests immersed in the live instrumentals echoing through the duration of the event. Attendees relished the evening’s enveloping experience with more tangible and engaging activations, including a perfume-making station, champagne glass engraving, whiskey-tasting bar, and caviar bar. Front and center stood a remarkable marble statue of the honoree, Asake, crafted by Iraqi-Dutch artist Arthar Jabar, as an allegory to his cultural imprint in more physical form.
Releasing publicly on May 1st, M$NEY melodically unfolds into an album of Asake’s dynamic musical landscape, incorporating the cadenced rhythms of Afrobeats, global sounds, and symphonic brilliance.
