 Calcetines sin Pareja, _Wilfredo Prieto._ Kurimanzutto, Mexico City, 2021 Wilfredo Prieto’s _Calcetines sin pareja_ opened on March 9th at Kurimanzutto in Mexico City. Prieto’s most recent work explores the idea of the part and the whole. _Calcetines sin pareja_ broadens the sense of being recognized through an ordinary object. Reimagining the function of a sock, the project creates a visual and poetic metaphor for the idea of emptiness, of the other. With this piece, Prieto aims to show that it is nothing more than the continuity of the same structure and that brings us closer to that which is different.  Calcetines sin Pareja, _Wilfredo Prieto._ Kurimanzutto, Mexico City, 2021 This project is a part of “Siembra”, the exhibition turning Kurimanzutto into an organic element. The exhibition attempts to utilize the practices of permaculture. In the same way, different species benefit from the same soil the exhibitions within Siembra cohabit the gallery and respond to the context in which they are being developed.
