Hailing from Glennville, GA and now living in Los Angeles, Katelyn Tarver is one of those artists that have made a career out of supporting others – writing the #1 UK single ‘Crazy Stupid Love’ for Cheryl Cole and contributing a feature on the Lost Kings single ‘You’, for instance. But now Katelyn is stepping into the spotlight on her own terms, ready to receive the long overdue recognition she's earned through her formidable songwriting talents and her unmistakable voice.
She's gaining momentum: Tarver released the single ‘Weekend Millionaires’ last year under her name, inspiring remixes from the likes of Young Bombs, Samuraii and Skizzy Mars. She followed up with another single, 'What Do We Know Now’ which was premiered by Zane Lowe on BEATS1. Now she takes her biggest step yet with the forthcoming debut 'Tired Eyes EP’ via Duly Noted Records. As she prepares for takeoff, Tarver has been testing her stuff every Tuesday night at Über-hip Downtown L.A. bar "Resident", where (fittingly) she has had a residency through the month of May.
Our friend Stori spoke to Tarver ahead of [her final performance at Resident](http://residentdtla.ticketfly.com/event/1465813-katelyn-tarvers-tuesday-night-los-angeles/) this coming Tuesday. Watch the video and then head down to see Katelyn Tarver (@katelyntarver for yourself--those computer speakers just don't quite cut it.
