Brace yourselves: MF Doom is back. For the next 15 weeks, Adult Swim will be releasing a new MF Doom track every week from his collection, _The Missing Notebook Rhymes_. This morning (August 7), Adult Swim kicked off the series and dropped the first track, aka Notebook 00, titled “Negus,” which was a raw collaboration between MF Doom and the late Sean Price.
Adult Swim has been giving us our nightly dose of hip-hop on Cartoon Network's Adult Swim program block since 2010, when [Jason DeMarco](https://hypebeast.com/2017/6/jason-demarco-adult-swim-interview), Vice President and Creative Director for On-Air Adult Swim, stepped onto the scene. Since then, the mix of hip-hop, cartoons, and anime has become a staple for many youth growing up.
Adult Swim played the mellow instrumentals of J. Dilla and Madlib in the background of programming and housed many hip-hop-infused shows like _The Boondocks_ and Odd Future’s _Loiter Squad_, as well as Japanese anime series, _Samurai Champloo_, where the soundtrack introduced many hip-hop heads to Nujabes, a Japanese producer and DJ who beautifully blends jazz and hip-hop together.
Recently, Adult Swim continued their [Adult Swim Singles](http://www.adultswim.com/music/singles-2017/12) series, which premieres new hip-hop singles for 52 weeks. The complete artist roster for the Adult Swim Singles, was released on [Twitter](https://twitter.com/Clarknova1/status/869955489723019264/photo/1?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw&ref_url=http%3A%2F%2Fdjbooth.net%2Fnews%2Fentry%2F2017-05-31-doom-jay-electronica-collab-is-coming-this-year) by Duke Demarco, the Senior Vice President and Creative Director for Adult Swim On-Air. The Adult Swim Singles series anticipates releasing new hip-hop singles from Knxwledge, Jay Electronica, Flying Lotus, [Migos](http://www.flaunt.com/content/music/migos), and much more.
Be sure to tune in next week for MF Doom’s "notebook 01" and Adult Swim’s next single for week 13.
