LAXART is a non-profit visual art space that promotes developments in contemporary culture through exhibitions, publications, and public programs. Its Annual Benefit will take place on Friday, November 8th. The benefit exists as a fundamental feature in the celebration of LAXART’s non-profit art space that is dedicated to progressive and rigorous programming and exhibitions. The event will commence with a viewing of LAXART’s current exhibition _Outside/In_, followed by a private dinner at Jeffrey Deitch.
A silent auction will run alongside the event; with artists such as Theaster Gates, Lauren Halsey, Torbjørn Rødland, Paul Mpagi Sepuya, Henry Taylor and Kaari Upson will be among those donating to support LAXART. The benefit will include a live performance from Zsela and DJ Acyde. The 2019 Benefit follows the news of LAXART being the receipt of grants from both the Emily Hall Tremaine Foundation and Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts to support exhibitions and programming 2021.
