The Dakar space of the Galerie Cécile Fakhoury, one of the most important galleries internationally for contemporary African art, is presenting the group show, _I have this memory. It is not my own_, on view until February 19, 2021.
The group show presents artists Mariam Abouzid Souali, Jess Atieno, Binta Diaw, Adji Dieye and Rahima Gambo through a range of practices, from installation and video, to tapestry and painting. Questioning our contemporary existences, the idea of architecture is approached here by a young generation of women from the continent in the plurality of its senses.
