But fear not, amidst the club closures and festival cancellations, Flaunt brings you news of a new dancefloor opening, a 2020 nocturnal unicorn. The Music Locker is Grand Theft Auto’s answer to our nightlife melancholy, launched in the hype of their new desert island update, The Cayo Perico Heist. In classic GTA fashion, they lined up some seriously killer DJ residents. Detroit icon Moodyman, Berlin’s house tastemakers Keinemusik, and the eclectic Palms Trax are a trio of DJs that we’d kill to see on any IRL line-up, DJs that espouse that blend of historic knowledge, cutting edge taste, and fearlessness. The Music Locker isn’t the only musical gift that comes with the Los Pericos update, Julian Casablancas has a new station inspired by LA’s belovedly analog Venice FM, Joy Orbison launches his own channel, and there are updates to Flying Lotus’ Fly-Lo FM and Gilles Peterson’s Worldwide FM. It’s good to know that while we may be stuck at home for a while, at least it's cracking off somewhere.
