The opera, by Pauline Oliveros, will be performed as a virtual opera featuring vocalists, instrumentalists, noise practitioners, and other performers. The event, which will feature more than 250 performances worldwide, will also host a pre-show virtual discussion from 5-6 PM PDT/8-9 PM EDT with artists Ron Athey, George Lewis, Sean Griffin and more. Griffin, a longtime collaborator of Oliveros and founder of Opera Povera, along with Los Angeles musician and A&R manager of the Equal Sound Corona Relief Fund Madeline Falcone created the project two weeks ago in response to the ever-growing pandemic and new social distancing norms. "Over the last couple weeks we have seen our artistic community come together during this time of extreme uncertainty and, for many of us, indefinite loss of our livelihoods. We are showing up for each other,” Griffin said. “The artists in Full Pink Moon are searching for ways to continue their creative work through this period of isolation, and we humbly ask in the spirit of the work to consider a donation if you have the resources to help our community of musicians”. Performers will interact with each other via Zoom, but the event will be streamed live on the Opera Povera Full Pink Moon website, as well as Facebook Live, YouTube and Twitch. * * * Full Pink Moon will occur Tuesday April 7, 2020 from 6 PM - 12:00 AM PDT / 9:00 PM - 3:00 AM EDT. Donations can be made [here](https://www.seangriffin.org/full-pink-moon-donate).
