 Dr. Martens teams up with the cult Japanese sandal brand Suicoke for a new collaboration, marrying the two brands’ design ethos and ringing in springtime and warmer weather. Joining forces, the brands bring a capsule sandal collection that reflects Dr. Martens’ iconic design with Suicoke’s meticulous sandal innovation. The sandal’s construction combines Suicoke’s footbed with Dr. Martens Lorsan outsole. The iconic outsole meets two of Suicoke’s primary designs, DEPA and BOAK, in Black Smooth leather, finished with the trademark Dr. Marten heel tab and yellow stitching. “We don’t design to a specific demographic, but simply to make something special. It shouldn’t be distinguished from us but rather by the consumer. They are the ones with the freedom and right to choose the product if it fits their lifestyle,” said Suicoke. The new collection takes Suicoke’s approach to redefining sandals and meshes it with Dr. Martens’ classic sensibility to create comfortable, stylish, and recognizable footwear.
