Dr. Bao-Tran Nguyen is a multi-practice dentist and educator. With more than ten years of experience, Dr. Nguyen has done and seen it all when it comes to dentistry. Not only is she a skilled dentist, but she has also gone through the acquisition, growth, and sales process of dental practices several times, along with Dr. Nate Jeal, her husband and business partner.
Shortly after graduating, Dr. Nguyen started working. Even though she was satisfied with her salary and her progress, it didn't take her too long to realize that she couldn't spend her entire life working for someone else. One year later, she teamed up with Dr. Nate Jeal, and the two acquired their first of five practices.
However, running a dental practice is easier said than done. "Universities and dental schools will equip you with the skills and knowledge necessary to help your patients, but none of them will teach you how to run a business," Dr. Nguyen says. "And, when you think about it, it is not enough to be a good dentist to run a successful dental practice. You also need to learn the business side of dentistry; you need to find out how to run a business, grow and market your practice, and enroll patients in your philosophy of care, often on the same day."
Dr. Nguyen didn't have much knowledge about running a business when she started her practice. She learned on the go, mainly through trial and error. "After founding my first practice with Nate, there wasn't anybody to help us out and teach us what to do next. So we invested in mentors and advisors to help us develop the skills and tools we needed to excel. Now with all of that experience, we decided to do something that will help doctors bridge the gap between their clinical training and what it takes to operate a successful private practice," Dr. Nguyen says.
Along with her husband, Dr. Nguyen came up with the idea for the Fast Growth Practice program, which helps doctors grow a self-managing practice faster, with proven principles for authority marketing and more consistent case acceptance.
According to Dr. Nguyen, the fastest way to grow a self-managing practice is with authority marketing. "Just because there is a demand for dentistry, it doesn't mean your practice is automatically entitled to it," Dr. Nguyen points out. "You need to find a way to set yourself apart from all the other practices and attract the right patients. The best way to do that is with the help of authority marketing."
Just marketing one's practice is not enough; dentists need to point out their skills and establish themselves as an authority in their field. By using marketing strategies to demonstrate their competence and trustworthiness, dentists will be able to build trust with their prospective patients.
Growing a successful practice takes time and requires knowledge. Those who are unsure where to start can turn to Dr. Bao-Tran Nguyen and Dr. Nate Jeal's Fast Growth Practice. This program is meant to equip dentists with the essential skills needed to grow a practice, attract new patients, and improve their case conversion.
