Which Powerpuff girl are you? I’ve been asked several times and if I were to answer with: Blossom, Buttercup or Bubbles you know I would be lying. The correct answer is Princess Morbucks. Thats besides the point!
[Christian Cowan](https://www.christiancowan.com) recently presented his second season of the collaboration between his line and the Powerpuff Girls. Opting to present on international women’s day at Neuehouse, the collection presented Cowans signature style of seamless and explosive decadence mounted with the voluminous shoulders, and dense encrusted mini situations adorn with sequin and glitz. The look has echoed well through the designers empowering shapes which fuses girl power and power dressing with the sensuous dazzle that always has them coming back for more. After watching the show I think we can all be a little bit more Mojo Jojo.
We caught up with the designer to speak on all things Powerpuff, women, and his collaboration with the charitable cause [In Her Shoes](https://www.inhershoesmvmt.org).
**Which Powerpuff girl do you identify as?**
I’d say I used to identify as Bubbles, but now I’ve Blossomed into a Buttercup.
**Why did you choose to present this collection during International Women's Day and for Women’s Month?**
I’ve been so fortune throughout my life to be surrounded by incredibly strong and inspiring women. As a young queer person, my teens were tough for me, it was the women in my family, friends & teachers who really supported me and built me into the confident person I am. In my professional life, I have dedicated myself to making every woman I dress feel empowered, respected and fabulous. I feel very lucky I get to do this. So to do the show on International Women’s Day felt so right. For both me and the Powerpuff Girls.
**The Girls are of course iconic but which of the villains do you feel is chicest?**
I definitely adore HIM. HIM’s character was honestly so ground breaking for its time. Plus the look is just mega. The boots. That ruffle. Yes HIM!
**You have dressed so many heavy hitters who is your dream person to Cowan up?**
My dream person to dress still is definitely Cher! But I’d love to dress Tina Turner, Grace Jones and of course Miss Dolly Parton.
**How did you get involved with In Her Shoes, what does it mean to you to be involved?**
When Powerpuff Girls and I were discussing who to partner with they suggested In Her Shoes. It was such a fantastic suggestion, we both felt it was so important to do some real positive work for an organization focused on helping women. It’s truly been an honor.
**What are you upcoming projects?**
Most of them are top secret but I am really excited for the release of our [sunglasses](https://www.flaunt.com/content/le-specs-christian-cowan) in the upcoming months!
