Back in April, singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, Active Child, dropped his latest record, In Another Life. Co-produced by Andrew Sarlo (Bon Iver, Big Thief, Adrienne Lenker) and featuring Joey Waronker (Beck, Elliott Smith, R.E.M.) on drums, In Another Life exhibits every layer of Active Child’s life and career—a reflection on fatherhood, life, death, and all that comes between.
Now, Flaunt is pleased to premiere a new video for single, “Color Me”, featuring Active Child on harp and filmed in his backyard in Pasadena. Active Child shared a colorful anecdote from the project, “During the filming of this video I made the mistake of placing my hand inside what I now know is a flower called the devils trumpet. The resulting rash plagued me for weeks after. But this specific moment playing color me was a transcendent 5 minutes. I felt physically altered afterward, transported even and by the end I simply let out a long breath and laid down on the ground.” Enjoy!
