A buzzing act on everyone's radar during this year's edition of Miami Music Week was NY based, Haitian-born and raised producer & DJ Francis Mercier. With recent high profile releases on Diplo's Higher Ground ('Kamili') and Insomniac Records ('Welcome To Dinna' , a collaboration with legendary reggae act Black Uhuru), Francis is on a meteoric rise to the top.

What sets Francis apart is how he is bringing together artists, sounds, and influences from Africa and the Caribbean in a unique way in dance music. Garnering 15M+ streams across all music platforms, his music is so striking as it merges worldly elements with emotive vocal influences.

New York based for over a decade, Francis’s sound has reached such far-flung locales like Nairobi, Beirut, Morocco, Capetown, and Dubai, where he regularly tours to sold out dancefloors. Francis's hot streak continues into April when he'll make his debut on the Yuma Tent both weekends at Coachella, followed by touring around the world.

Francis gives Flaunt a behind the scenes look at Miami Music Week, which included a B2B with Diplo at his label showcase Deep Root Tribe at the W Hotel, hanging with legendary skateboarder Nyjah Huston at the Freehold Miami, and more. Check out the photo diary below.
